Delete Your EdgeMo Account and Data

This page explains how to delete your EdgeMo account and the personal information associated with it. (Google Play requires every app that supports accounts to provide this, both in the app and at a public web address.)
How to request deletion
In the app: go to Profile → Settings → Delete my account, then confirm.
By email: send a request to privacy@edgemoapp.com from the device you use for EdgeMo, or include your support code so we can find your account. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
If you are a parent or guardian, you may request deletion of your child’s account on their behalf using the same email address.
What gets deleted
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete the personal information linked to it, including:
- Your account identifier and support code
- Your profile details (year of birth, display name, avatar, phone number, school, region)
- Your learning and activity data (subjects, goals, practice and mock results, history)
- Content you submitted (questions, typed answers, and uploaded answer photos)
We complete deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your request, and remove your data from our backups within a further 90 days.
What we may keep
We may retain limited information where the law requires it or where we have a legitimate need, for example:
- Payment and transaction records, kept for 6 years for financial, tax, and audit purposes as required by Ghanaian law. (Your actual payment details — such as your mobile-money number or card — are held by Google Play, not by us.)
- Anonymous, aggregated data that can no longer identify you and is used only to understand and improve the app.
